Vehicles from outside Quebec
Mandatory inspection for all vehicles imported from another province or country prior to registration in Quebec. This inspection ensures that the vehicle meets current safety standards
Vehicles stored for more than 12 months
A mechanical inspection is required for any vehicle that has been stored for more than 12 months to ensure that it is still safe for the road.
Rebuilt vehicles
Vehicles declared as “rebuilt” must undergo a rigorous inspection to ensure compliance with safety and structural standards before being put back on the road.
Home-built vehicles
All homemade vehicles must be inspected to obtain approval in accordance with the requirements of the Quebec Highway Safety Code

Modified or converted vehicles
An inspection is required when a vehicle undergoes major modifications (suspension, structure, engine, etc.). This check ensures the safety and legality of the modifications
